under the guidance of our musical director, Rick Lionarons

Our music program offers private instruction on all instruments. Among the most popular are piano, guitar, and vocal.
However, we also offer bass, drums, violin, viola, saxophone, flute, clarinet and trumpet. We can usually accommodate other instruments upon request such as cello, banjo, ukulele, mandolin, penny whistle, harmonica, etc.
Our staff specializes in a variety of musical styles: pop, rock, classical, jazz, blues, R&B, folk and gospel/spiritual genres are all part of our staff's repertoire.  We accept all levels and we always welcome beginners, but we can advise even the most advanced professionals.

We begin a student's musical education with an emphasis on sight-reading. We find that for beginners and children under the age of 12, that this is the most effective teaching method. For adults and teens who want to 'cut to the chase' we have a more direct approach to playing pop, rock and blues. For example, most teenagers want to play rock, but don't have the desire to go through the process of learning to read music.  Rather than discourage them, we would agree to teach them rock but would also encourage them to explore a more diverse musical background.

Whatever your choice, our goal is to get you to your goal. There is a whole new world of music that will open up to you once you begin your studies. In time, you can play, create and improvise music with ease and confidence. But, of course, you must start at the beginning. That's where we at Song & A Dance come in. We invite you to arrange a trial lesson at a very reasonable cost to get you on your way. You will love the beauty of music in your home.

We invite you to listen to a few samples of live music from our 2016 music recital, performed by a variety of our talented musicians, be sure to turn up your volume!
